About
Devender Gollapally
I'm a Principal Software Engineer who has spent two decades building systems that move real money: investment platforms, secondary markets, escrow and custody integrations, and most recently production agentic AI in regulated finance.
Some things I've built or helped build:
- ERC-1450 — co-author of the Ethereum standard for transfer-agent-controlled security tokens; over $1B in securities has been tokenized on this pattern.
- mcpwright — a suite of open-source MCP servers that put public data inside AI agents: SEC EDGAR and U.S. Census, with more coming. Typed, tested, one-click installable in Claude Desktop.
- Production LLM systems for compliance and operations — the unglamorous, high-stakes kind where the model's work gets reviewed by regulators, not just users.
I've been writing here since 2003 — the archive runs from Hibernate and Spring through Ruby, Clojure, Redis, and Neo4j to today's agents. I leave the old posts up: they're an honest record of what building software has looked like for twenty years.
Away from the keyboard: fountain pens and a ukulele.
